Our Chamber aims to:
Foster a strong business environment & encourage tourism & regional development through networking, promoting local businesses, supporting & coordinating community events, identifying opportunities & lobbying for local issues.
Maintain a safe, clean & healthy environment for business, the community & visitors that showcases the natural beauty of the Myall Coast in a vibrant & friendly atmosphere that visitors will remember as a favorable destination to return to time & time again.
The current Chamber was incorporated on 18 February 1987 with the NSW Department of Fair Trading.
However, the TGHN collective business activities go back to the mid-1800s when local shipping companies, mill owners and farmers lobbied together to open up the Myall River by dredging, as well as building a public wharf and better amenities.
These still are important sustainment challenges, with the Chamber also supporting tourism and the economic, community, and cultural wellbeing of the Myall Coast.
